Every book begins the same way: with a question I couldn't stop asking.
Sometimes that question leads down a back road with my mother. Sometimes it leads into family history, medicine, and the stories hidden between generations. Sometimes it leads into a darkened concert hall where music says what words cannot.
Though each book explores a different subject, they are connected by the same curiosity: Who are we? Where have we been? And what do we carry forward?
